Make a Contribution to the "Support-A-Child" Campaign
The YMCA offers financial assistance to local families through its "Support-A-Child" fund. These funds are made possible through the generosity of our donors along with proceeds from special events. Each dollar contributed to the YMCA "Support-A-Child" fund goes directly to making YMCA programs and membership available to those in need. Lately, the YMCA of Pawtucket has received an unprecedented number of requests for financial support from families. The requests for help vastly outweigh the funds available to aid youth and families in need. Please make a tax deductible donation today and make a difference in a child's life.

The mission of the YMCA of Pawtucket, Inc. as part of a world wide fellowship, to provide services and activities which help people regardless of age, sex, race, or religion, to develop in mind, body and spirit; to recognize and fulfill their responsibilities to the family, the community and each other; and to improve their health and life-styles. In keeping with its mission the YMCA's goals are:
Health Enhancement
Provide a comprehensive quality program of health and fitness services that will enhance healthy life styles in the community
Lifetime Skills Development
Provide a comprehensive developmental program to enhance the learning experiences of children
Strengthening The Family
Provide a broad range program of services to enhance family participation, parent-child relationship and Family unity

Member of the State Alliance of Rhode Island YMCAs
YMCAs in the state of Rhode Island are committed to working together advocating legislation supporting the development of Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities. Rhode Island YMCAs are particularly focused on the issue of quality, safe, and affordable child care for all who need it. Additionally, YMCAs in the state are concerned with the growing number of sedentary children. We know that inactivity leads to young people becoming overweight and obese. Rhode Island Ys are working hard to provide educational and program activities aimed at helping young people make better food choices and lead more active lives.
